Day 12

Well, although I really failed to run yesterday rather than planned not to, I have come to the conclusion that every other day is the way to go.  I am getting older, and need time to recover!

Went out and did it this morning, despite the icy conditions (mostly OK on the roads, so ran there - very little traffic about this early).  Warmed up to Rosemary Conley's Salsacise CD (but not enough - had some problems with my lower back - need more stretching).

I like the weekends - fewer people about.

Day 10

So what happened to days 7, 8 and 9?  Good question!

Too tired, too ache-y, too busy...

But yesterday, having not done my run in the morning, I noticed that I had recovered from the tiredness and acheyness, and felt really good.  So today, I am back on the wagon with renewed vigour.

Started the day with Gillian Michael's 30 day shred (beginner level - I have never done it before), followed by my usual circuit.  I was tired from doing the DVD; but thoroughly warmed up, which I think made a difference.  So, I am back!!!

Day 6

Not a very inspired run/stagger.  Not raining, not cold.

OK - plan to improve the situation:

Go to bed earlier
Warm up more thoroughly before setting off
Eat better

It is done.  Tomorrow is another day!

Day 5

The downside of getting out and exercising early: it's still cold!  Too icy to run this morning - I chickened out!

The upside: you get out and get it done!   I did have a session on the exercise bike eventually, so I have done my stint for today - but it's really difficult to fit it in once everyone else is up!

Hoping tomorrow is wet instead of icy!

Day 4 - Running in the Rain

Returned home to the strains of Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews singing "Baby it's cold outside" - one of my favourites - but it wasn't cold, it was wet!!!!

Although I kept thinking that I should run more to get home faster, my legs didn't want to do it, so quite a slow circuit today, in the rain.

But, it is done.

Day 3

Another mile circuit ticked off.  The amount of running I do is gradually increasing.  But I still get a feeling of dread before I leave the house.  And hate the idea of someone seeing me.

I did pass a dog walker this morning, despite the early start (was out just after 6 this morning).

On the coffee front - accidentally had a mouthful of DH's coffee yesterday.  I spat it out!!!  Perhaps this will cure me of the habit of absent-mindedly picking up his drinks!
